Rhetorical Act Chapter 5

This chapter brought up the topic of arguments and how to make a good one that the speaker could stand behind. It is an important skill to have because everyone needs to argue at some point in their life, and if it cannot be done properly, one won't get far in life. Issues were brought up and was contrasted with arguments. The difference is arguments are made by using certain points to lead up to what is being argued, and issues is the process of finding holes in an argument and questioning how a person's evidence is relevant or logical. Issues can be mixed up with concessions, but they are separate things.
